While the Evolve team works hard to make sure your vacation rental is successful, there’s always the possibility — though small — that damage to your home occurs during a guest’s stay.
That’s why Evolve owners are covered by our damage protection program, Property Protection Plus (PPP).
What Is Property Protection Plus?
The program provides owners with up to $5,000 in property damage protection and $1,000,000 in liability insurance during guest stays in your home. It’s designed to protect against damage that goes beyond normal wear and tear.
Note that Property Protection Plus is not a substitute for an owner’s property insurance coverage.
What Is Covered by Property Protection Plus?
- Replacement of items that cost between $25 - $5000 in total and were damaged by a guest (replacement items must cost the same as the original damaged item)
- Materials and labor costs to replace items or property features damaged as a result of a guest incident
- Costs incurred as a result of guest injury on the property
- Charges for cleanings that took longer than expected as a result of a guest incident
- Charges for specialized services needed as a result of a specific guest — or pet — incident, like carpet stain treatment, fur or waste removal, smoke odor treatments, or irregular hot tub servicing
If your home receives damages covered by Property Protection Plus, you can submit an incident report in your Owner Account for help resolving the issue.
You’ll be asked to provide proof of damage or loss as part of making that report. Depending on the scenario, this might include photos of damage, a receipt for replaced items, an invoice or estimate from a service provider, proof of item ownership, and/or proof of medical care, as applicable.
What Is NOT Covered by Property Protection Plus?
- Damages not caused by a guest, such as weather damage or normal property maintenance associated with the typical wear and tear that accompanies regular booking
- Service calls that were made to ensure a quality guest experience
- Damages to or by motor vehicles
- Excess utility usage (water, electricity, etc.) resulting from a guest's stay
- Replacement of flooring outside of an affected area (i.e. replacing your entire carpet for one stain)
- Replacement of consumables like food, beverages, paper products, or toiletries
- Missing items
