Can I Provide My Own Property Photos?

Learn about Evolve’s specific requirements for your property photos.

When you first join Evolve, we pay to have a professional photographer visit your rental property because it has a massive impact on your listing’s performance. These pros are educated on our specific photo standards and conduct a practice check-in to confirm your property is ready for guests to stay immediately.

If you make changes to your property after that first shoot and are wondering whether you need new photos, please see what we do and do not fund. You can also submit a request through your Owner Account for further evaluation and guidance.

If a new photoshoot is not funded by Evolve, we’ll talk about your options. In some instances, we can help coordinate a shoot that you pay for with one of our professional photographers. In others, we may accept photos taken by a professional photographer (that you hire and pay for) outside of Evolve.

These specific circumstances may include:

  • Minor changes to your property’s appearance, like cosmetic updates, new staging, or the removal of seasonal decor
  • Shoots our photographers can’t always do, like evening and drone photography

No matter the scenario, all new images must be taken by a professional: someone with high-resolution, professional-grade equipment who makes an income through photography.

Images must also meet our professional photo requirements:

  • Horizontal only — no panorama or vertical images
  • In focus with no pixelation
  • Well-lit by natural lighting
  • No alterations, edits, re-touches, or added filters
  • 3840 x 2560 pixels or larger
  • JPEG (jpg), RAW, HEIC, or TIFF files only

If you have any questions (or have made changes to your property since your initial shoot), submit a request through your Owner Account to start a conversation.
