When Should I Get New Photos to Reflect Changes to My Property?

Learn about renovations and seasonal changes that could require a new photoshoot with our photography partners.

As part of our core property standards, we promise travelers that every Evolve home is as advertised. This means your listing should showcase exactly what they’ll find when they arrive.

To make sure your guests’ expectations and experiences always line up, we recommend getting new photos for your property listing in a few key circumstances. In these instances, we’ll fund a new photoshoot with one of our photography partners.

When You Should Get New Property Photos
To provide five-star service from booking through check-out, we want our professional photographers to capture the following changes:

  • Significant renovations that alter your home's floor plan, including changes to the number and/or type of bedrooms and bathrooms
  • Significant alterations to paint, flooring, and/or furniture
  • The addition or removal of profit-driving amenities, like pools and fireplaces
  • Major updates or seasonal changes to community amenities
  • Seasonal weather in locations where it improves performance, like ski towns

If your property changes fall into one of these categories, please submit a request after your renovations are complete or when the desired season is starting. Our team of experts can then evaluate and schedule an Evolve-funded shoot if needed.

When You Should Not Get New Property Photos
There are certain changes you might make that don’t drastically impact your listing’s performance, so new imagery is not necessary. Minor decor and amenity updates — like swapping out wall art, getting new bedding, or adding a small appliance — don’t require a new Evolve photoshoot.

Note, however, that we may be able to help coordinate a photoshoot you pay for (or allow you to provide additional photography shot by a professional outside our network) in a few special circumstances. Our team of experts is available to evaluate your situation and discuss your options.

If you have any questions (or have made changes to your property since your initial shoot), submit a request through your Owner Account to start a conversation.
